6 Months Free for New Aesthetic Practitioners
You've finished your foundation training. The certificate is on the wall, the insurance is in place, and there's a small fortune sitting in your fridge in the form of tox and filler. And now? Now you're staring down the bit nobody really trained you for running a business.
After speaking to hundreds of practitioners over the last few years, one thing is glaringly obvious. The stretch between finishing your foundation course and reaching a sustainable book of patients is the hardest part of the journey…until you take on staff and become VAT registered!
You're spending money faster than you're making it. You're trying to figure out Instagram, Canva, bookings, medical records, compliance and how to get your first paying patients, all whilst still working your day job and treating your first few brave friends and family.
So we've done something about it.
As part of our Grow Glowday mission, we realised that because the number of patients new practitioners put through their diary in the first month in business is usually tiny, it means that you can’t really tell if the software is a good fit in a short trial - so you end up paying for something you’re not sure works for you.
We're offering new-to-aesthetics practitioners 6 months of Glowday completely free. Every feature. No stripped-back trial tier. Software free for 6 months.
Here's how to make the most of it.
1. Who qualifies for 6 months free GlowdayPRO?
Practitioners who have completed their foundation botox and filler training in the last 12 months.
That means nurses, doctors, dentists, prescribing pharmacists and registered healthcare professionals who are at the very start of their aesthetics journey. The people for whom every penny counts, who haven't yet built a returning patient base, and who genuinely benefit most from having proper systems in place from day one.
If you trained more than 12 months ago, but you’ve really struggled to grow past a dozen patients, then drop us an email at support@glowday.com, we might be able to help.
2. What's actually included in the 6 months free?
Everything. Not "core features." Not "starter tier." The full Glowday platform.
Online booking and digital diary
Free text and email appointment reminders
Late-cancel and no-show protection (card capture at point of booking)
Automated questionnaires and digital consent forms
Secure patient notes and records
Automatic tracking of courses of treatments
Treatment mapping
Automated pre- and post-treatment advice
Automatic rebooking reminders
Before and after photo storage
Card payments
Automated review collection and publishing
And over the next 6 months, the platform will grow as you grow.
In a market where aesthetic booking software typically costs £40 to £120 per month..with text message bundles on top, that's a saving of roughly £240 to £720 over the six months. More importantly, it's six months of operational headspace whilst you're focused on finding and treating your first paying patients.
3. Why do new practitioners need aesthetic booking software from day one?
Because the practitioners who get to profitability fastest are the ones who put proper systems in early, not the ones running their business out of WhatsApp messages, a paper notebook and a panicked search through their camera roll for before and after photos.
In the NHS, you had systems built around you. Booking, recall, records, supply, scheduling. As a solo practitioner, none of that exists unless you build it. And the cost of not building it shows up later as missed rebookings, lost consents, no-shows, late cancels, forgotten aftercare and patients who quietly drift off to a more organised competitor.
A few numbers worth knowing:
The average lifetime value (LTV) of a returning aesthetics patient is £2,000 to £5,000+
It typically takes 6 to 18 months from a patient first considering treatment to actually booking in, which means your reminders, follow-ups and review wall are doing a lot of heavy lifting
Around 80% of consumer spend in aesthetics is on injectable treatments, so the booking and rebooking flow for your tox and filler patients is your business engine
Good software is what turns those numbers into a real business rather than an expensive hobby.
4. How does GlowdayPRO help you stay compliant from day one?
This is the bit most new practitioners underestimate, and it's where having purpose-built software earns its keep before you've taken your first paying patient.
You are a data controller. You handle special category health data. That means you're legally required to register with the ICO (Information Commissioner's Office)…get on with that if you haven’t done so…and to take "appropriate technical and organisational measures" to protect patient data. Storing consent forms on your laptop and before and after photos on your camera roll does not meet that bar.
Be wary of the phrase "GDPR compliant" floating around in aesthetics software marketing. It's about as meaningful as "advanced aesthetic practitioner." It's not a recognised certification. What you actually need to look for:
Data encrypted in transit (between patient, server and your device)
Data encrypted and anonymised at rest
EU-based cloud storage
Password protection, ideally with Multi Factor Authentication (MFA)
A platform that locks when you hand your device to a patient to sign forms, so they can't see other patients' records
Glowday is built to all of the above. It also gives you a clean, contemporaneous record of every consultation, consent and treatment. With the eventual licensing regime under the Health and Care Act, whatever the regulators settle on, good documentation will be table stakes.
5. How do you use the free 6 months to actually grow bookings?
Booking software that sits there waiting to be found is worth very little when you're new. The whole point of your first year is getting your diary off zero.
Here's how to use the platform to do that, week one:
Build you Glowday profile - this creates a booking page that you can share on your socials and in your Google Business Profile, and also features on the consumer marketplace, Glowday.com, so patients actively searching for a practitioner can find and book you
Drop your online booking link everywhere: Instagram bio, Google Business Profile, email signature, WhatsApp business profile, printed flyers. Every place you market yourself should convert in one tap
Start collecting reviews early on - from your very first patient. Reviews compound. The earlier you start, the bigger the body of social-proof by month six
Set up your rebooking reminders so every tox patient is prompted back at 3 to 4 months, every Profhilo patient at 6 months, and so on. Returning patients are where the profit lives
Capture cards at booking to protect against late cancels and no-shows, which are the single biggest revenue leak for new practitioners
Reviews and rebookings are the two things new practitioners consistently underinvest in. Both are automated here. Use them.
6. What happens after the 6 months are up?
You roll onto a standard paid plan, or you don't. There's no autotrap. You'll get plenty of notice before the free period ends, and by that point you should be in a position to make an informed call on whether Glowday is paying for itself. (Spoiler: by month six, it should be, many times over.)
By the end of the free period you should have:
A compliant, searchable directory of patient records
An automated rebooking pipeline ticking along in the background
A wall of published reviews building trust with prospective patients, along with any before and afters you’ve published to your booking page
A clear picture of which treatments are profitable and which patients are your green-flag people
If that's not worth paying for after six months of using it free, we haven't done our job.
FAQs
Is the 6 months free trial really free? Do I need to put a card in upfront? Yes, genuinely free. We do require you to add your card details, but more as a formality than anything else.
I finished my foundation training over 12 months ago. Can I still get this offer? Not this specific one. It's ringfenced for practitioners in their first year post-foundation. However, if you finished your foundation training over 12 months ago and you still have fewer than 10 patients, drop us an email at support@glowday.com and we may be able to help.
Does Glowday work for mobile or room-rental setups? Yes. It's designed for solo practitioners across mobile, room-rental and own-clinic setups. You access it from any device.
Is Glowday ICO and UK GDPR compliant? The platform meets the technical and organisational standards expected for handling special category health data: EU-hosted, encrypted in transit and at rest, anonymised at rest, password protected, locked patient sign mode. You still need your own ICO registration as the data controller.
